Our story began in 2007.

For more than 17 years since, we have run offices dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs, expanding nationwide as “katana Office.” Our slogan was “a rental office that never becomes a cost” — a base that thoroughly supports founders in running their businesses.

But the people who knocked on our door were not only venture companies. They were freelancers who wanted to work on their own terms, small-business owners, and entrepreneurs rooted in their local communities — a wonderfully diverse crowd. And in them, we saw the society we should be working toward.

That realization led us to our new brand: odorana Office.

The name “odorana” comes from a playful Kansai phrase meaning “you'd be a fool not to dance.” True to our new slogan — work you love, in a place that moves you — we want to build a society where anyone can work like an owner, making a living from what they love, and where it's safe to keep trying, fail, and try again, together with the local community. That is the answer we arrived at after 17+ years.

odorana Office is a shared office and coworking space for freelancers, founders, and startups — a place where all kinds of people can work with peace of mind and keep expanding their challenges, connected to their community.

Building on the legacy of katana Office, we will keep opening distinctive locations across Japan as odorana Office — and keep building a society that makes hearts dance.
